[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 2-day Training of Trainers workshop was held at Domaine Les Pailles for the youth cadre of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day 2014. Twenty-five officers were trained on different aspects of tobacco control, following which nine community-based projects were developed and implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to reach a total of 2,000 young people. A similar workshop was held in Rodrigues in collaboration with the Commission for Youth. A total of 20 participants were trained. Three resource persons from Mauritius – Mr Mohee (representative of VISA), MrBurhoo(representative of the Mauritius Institute of Health) and MrBheekhee (representative of the Ministry of Finance) – facilitated the workshop.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
